1936 Harley Davidson VL

My name is Chad Martin from Doylesburg, Pa. I have loved bikes since the first day my brother and I hotwired our dad’s old Honda 100 and rode it around the house.  As a young adult, I didn’t have the funds to spend on toys, so I rode junk that I could piece together. It wasn’t until 2007 that I could afford to buy a brand new KLR 650.  I have been fortunate enough to find some nice bikes in the last 15 years and currently ride a 2000 Harley Wide Glide and a 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan. I caught the chase bug from my friend Rick Kaylor who invited me to Florida to see the end of the 2019 chase.  It was amazing to see all the great people that had organized and completed the chase.  Upon returning home, I told Rick I wanted to do the chase. In only six short months, he located the 36 vl in a pile of parts and boxes: hence, the pics on my profile. Currently, my bike is ready for paint and finish in the Spring.  I’m anticipating being able to put some miles on it before the chase. I’m eager to see Rt. 66 all the way through to the coast.
