#83 Roland Krix
Argenbuehl, Duetschland
1944 Harley Davidson UL
Hello Everyone,
My Name is Roland Krix (Nickname since school, Knax, no idea why) I was born on June 13, 1964 in Geislingen/Steige, Germany.
Like so Many, I started riding Motorcycles when I was 15. Mainly just to be mobile, we didn’t have cell phones yet
At the Beginning with 50 ccm, then at the Age of 18 a Honda 500 ccm from 1975, 3 Months later a Kawasaki 750 ccm.
A Year later ( I was already a Member of a Motorcycle Group, the Black Barons from Geislingen ) in 1983 at the age of 19 I bought a 1977 Super Glide. It was a battle with my Dad and the Bank, but I won.
In 1985 I traded the Super Glide for a 1984 Elektra Glide. I sold this in 1986 and bought a 1981 Wide Glide which I took on a trip via Paris to Istanbul in 1987, 15,000 Kilometre.
In the Meantime I had completely disassembled the Wide Glide for Restoration. That’s why I bought a 1977 Low Rider. With this Machine I did a 1991 tour of Turkey with 22,000 Kilometre.
At the End after, I finished my Master School (Car Mechanic )
In 2003 I bought a Special Edition Road King, by then I had put about 250,000 Kilometre on my Shovelheads.
In 2007 I went with a Friend to the Busloo Super Rally in the Netherlands.
That’s where I met Max Middlebusch. He owns a beautiful Museum with many old American Motorcycles.

This Acquaintance grew into a deep Friendship and a great Love for old American Motorcycles (my Wife always says Rubbish, I don’t know what she means. But that’s the way it is everywhere, :-))
In 2017 I rode Route 66 from Chicago to Los Angeles with her, but on a new Road King. The route is not difficult, but the History is great.
and now i’m looking forward to a nice Adventure with you in September.
True to the Motto, the Way is the Goal.
I am also a Member of the Harley Stammtisch ( a German Word for a Table, where you sit together every week ) in Rechberg/Germany ( founded in 1986 )
and of AMCA/USA
