1938 Velocette KSS

I was born in Los Angeles California and have lived in the LA / Orange County area all my life. I currently reside in Huntington Beach in Orange County with my wife. I was employed as a Civil Engineer for 30 years by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, I retired three years ago.

I have been involved with vintage English motorcycles since I was 15 years old. The 1938 KSS Velocette I will be using on the Chase I have owned for about 25 years. I bought it as a derelict and just got it functional about five years ago. It has completed a Velocette club summer rally (1000 miles over 5 days) and other shorter events with no problems other than a flat tire and a broken spoke. I have traveled a lot in the U.S., Canada and Australia using vintage bikes as transport. I look forward to the Cross Country Chase and hope my bike survives and it doesn’t rain too much   Larry Luce
