One of the blessings of time spent on the backroads is the chance to find oneself while deep in the process of losing yourself. The further you get from your routine citizen life, the more you find yourself enjoying the simple things like the scent of rain on hot asphalt, watching dawn break over the distant horizon and the sense of accomplishment that comes with wrenching on a tired old engine at the end of a hard day’s ride. In the case of the Chase, all these great milestones were illuminated by the radiant, smiling faces of the friends made along the route that shared the same accomplishments, and struggles, of every mile. Together, as a tribe.

As we look to the New Year, we cannot help but feel a twinge of melancholy over the magic we shared with friends and family in 2019.
