1940 Indian Chief

Hello from Chaser #22 – Don Gilmore in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

I first started riding in 1969 on a Bridgestone 50.  My current bikes are a 2014 Polaris Indian Chief Vintage, a 2019 Triumph 1200 Scrambler XE, a 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan and the 1940 Indian Chief that I rode in the 2019 Chase and will ride again in the 2021 Chase.

The 2019 inaugural Chase was a new experience for me and proved surprisingly difficult.  There were a lot of new skills to learn and manage while riding the event.  It is not as easy as it looks, but you will make friends for a lifetime!

I have driven in SCCA autocross events and participated in East Coast land speed events.  I am a Bonneville Salt Flats racer.  My vehicle is a hand built lakester and I have achieved a top speed of 235 mph.  I currently hold seven land speed records.
