1945 Harley Davidson UL

My name is Billy Richards and I am riding my 1945 UL. The flathead was originally was a police bike in Kansas City and later for Sedalia, MO.  I bought at a swap meet in Kansas City in the early 80’s.  I completed restoration of the Flathead and since then traveled many place on it including the 90^th Harley Davidson anniversary in Milwaukee and Sturgis on a few occasions.

I have riding and working on motorcycle since high school.  I spend my time working on my several motorcycle projects of all makes and models.  I enjoy the challenge of restoring these old motorcycles that have long been forgotten and bring them back to life.  The feeling of riding these old bikes and connecting to their past gives me a great sense of accomplishment.

Although, I have ridden my motorcycles countless places across the USA.  I feel privileged to be part of The Chase and be part of the history in the making of antique motorcycle events.
