1936 Indian Sport Scout

I want to get back in the race after experiencing major engine failure during the 2019 Cross Country Chase. The past year of distancing has reinforced the need to compete again with fellow motorcycle enthusiasts. Motorcycling began for me in back in 1974 on a Bridgestone 175. I had the honor of serving in the United States Navy retiring as a Chief Petty Officer deploying with Marine Expeditionary Units worldwide. While stationed in California in the early 90’s I had the wonderful experience of working part time for racer and Indian motorcycle expert Jerry Greer. It was there that I developed a friendship with John Bivens who is a leader in Indian motorcycle restoration. Years later while stationed in Texas I had another great experience meeting and riding with famed author Jerry Hatfield and Stanley Brock both longtime AMCA members. Later I transitioned into a role with the Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs retiring in 2015. I am honored to be one of the founding members of the AMCA Driftless Chapter, a member of the Iron Butt Association and AMA life member. Seeking greater purpose after retirement I returned to work for the US Department of Veterans Affairs assisting our Nations Veterans. I am a volunteer with the Coulée Chapter Trout Unlimited Service Partnership Program.
