1973 Moto Guzzi Eldorado

I grew up in New England and moved to Texas to get away from home and to experience “big city” life. I didn’t grow up around bikes or wrenching and the only reason I knew I loved speed was because I started skiing with my friends in high school and loved flying down the mountain… I started riding motorcycles after a few years in Texas in order to get away from the all concrete and in search of trees and primitive camping. However, I didn’t take the motorcycle safety course and then start riding, although a lot of people do just that. As fate would have it I ended up meeting some guys that rode their old Beemers all over the country and they camped along the way! I knew when I heard those stories that that was what I wanted! I was fortunate that they were experienced riders and willing to teach me the basics. Everything from what a carburetor is and how it works to maintenance and why it matters… Fast forward 5-7 years and my days now start and finish in a shop and I love everything about it.
As I prep my chase bike, a 1973 Moto Guzzi Eldorado, I can’t help but feel gratitude. I’m so grateful for this opportunity and I’m especially grateful to the Love of Motorcycles, the Cross Country Chase and everyone in the moto community that invest, in one way or another, in a younger generation. I wouldn’t be here without you.
Thank You!!
See you at the starting line!!
